Monsters come to town with police escort!

Honesdale, PA – Two of the 5 Monster Trucks performing at the Wayne County Fair on Saturday August 15 will be traveling to downtown Honesdale from the fairgrounds on Friday, August 14 at approx. 9:45 AM. The MOPAR ONE ride truck, along with another “undisclosed” Monster truck will be escorted by Honesdale Borough police south toward Main Street, and continue to the light at the intersection of Routes 6 and 191, where they will park in the lot behind ReMax on 4th Street.

If you are fan of these giant machines, or just curious to see how big these monsters really are, here is your chance to find out. Stop by, bring the kids and your camera, meet the drivers, climb behind the wheel or sit in the truck bed. The trucks will be traveling back to the fairgrounds at 2 PM to prepare for the weekend show .

The 10,000 lb. MOPAR ONE ride truck will be cruisin' the inside track at the fairgrounds Friday afternoon giving rides to anyone brave enough to get strapped in. Tickets can be purchased for both the rides and the show at the 4th Street stop. Sorry, only checks and cash can be accepted at this location. Children must be accompanied by an adult.)

KSR Motorsports is set to explode in front of the grandstand with the 2009 Night of Fire and Destruction Monster Truck and Hollywood Stunt Show. The boys from KSR have been coming to the Wayne County Fair since 2007. Each year the show gets bigger and better. This year there will be FIVE Monster Trucks performing, including the King of the monster trucks, BIG FOOT, as well as the kid favorite TOWMATER, plus ELIMINATOR AND BAD HABIT. Joining the big boys will be a “very local” TUFF TRUCKS competition plus the Hollywood stunts of Lou the Rocket Re and Crash Moreau.
